Francophone

What's up!
Another week in Accra!

This week was TOUGH, I'm not even going to lie! I've not heard a lick of English in class since last Wednesday, and I have no idea what's going on in class ever! The French teachers are very stubborn, and it's honestly super discouraging the way they teach. Cannot catch me saying it again, but I would take Señor Wooly over the teaching here. They play mind games legit. We're not allowed to take notes during the lesson—only what we remember afterward, unless you snag a photo of the board.

The gift of tongues is so real though. Maybe it's my violin days coming back, but my memorization has never been this good. I swear I can read something, and by the end of class, I can remember everything. One day francophone.

I don't know how to even fit everything into these emails 'cause I swear something wild happens every hour. Yesterday I almost got in a car crash. Now, you may be wondering how that happened whilst in the MTC, but let me tell you. Sister Onalo is a sister in our room with no companion, so we take her in (yes, that's a companionship of four). She also got cooked at the dentist last week, and I had to assist her this time. The Uber driver was CHOPPED! Not even going to mention the dentist wearing slides or the location of the so-called "office" 'cause that's a whole other story. But my guy was watching TikTok on his iPad while driving! If you've been out of the country, you know how they just freeball those streets, so need I say any more?

My mani-pedi count from this week is up by six. They made me do their toes, so I'm increasing my wage to snacks.

Somebody asked if the elders have chilled—the answer is no. This week I've received a bracelet, a letter that shows somebody is obviously not locked on their missionary purpose, and quite a bit of flowers.

It was Fast Sunday. Crazy having Fast Sunday here. This sounds dramatic, but I'm not lying when I say I had a dream about Ricardo's chips and salsa. Shoutout Vivi. It sucked 'cause I know that is the first of many.

I'm sure my family will appreciate the "hangry" tolerance I've grown here! Backstory: it's just not pretty when I'm annoyed and don't have food... but Sunday was a level I've never reached before. I will not continue on the topic, but it was bad. Six girls, no food. Yikes!

Did sealings for the first time, and it was so beautiful! Such a cool experience, and some really cool things happened in there. I have such a love for the temple, and the one here will for sure always be special in my heart! I challenge all of you guys to go, regardless if it's just baptisms. Just go listen to what God wants you to hear! I've been really focusing on trying to hear Him more. Waiting a minute or two after study and my prayers to listen to Him has been such an eye-opener. He needs you to be still so He can talk to you!

I love hearing from you all!
(Mom and Dad, go to Ricardo's for me.)
